Author P.S. Winn

Biography

I write under the name P.S. Winn and find being an author the most amazing job I could possible have.

I was born and raised in a small town in Montana. After years spending time in a variety of places, I have come home.

I can remember, as a child, my parents encouraging my love of reading.

I have continued to read, several books a day sometimes, since that time.

My parents have left this earth, but I think they look over me still.

I hope they can reach through that veil between words and know how grateful I am to them for instilling in me the love of books.

Because I have suffered the loss of parents, children and siblings, I write many books with a spiritual lean to them.

I didn’t begin writing until 2013. It seems once I put pen to paper, the words flowed like a raging river. I write the books longhand and feel I get a better connection to stories this way.

Now, I am sixty and have slowed down in my writing, but still try to write at least a few books a year.

I am still an avid reader who believes a book isn’t truly happy until it is read and loved by others.

I hope readers find my books reader friendly and hope the stories will take them on that special journey the mind creates.

I am lucky to have the great support of my husband in my endeavors. He has made my life as an author possible. My children, grandchildren and yes, great grandchildren, help me keep the stories fresh and have made me add children’s books and young adult books to my genre of stories.

My dream in this life is to share the words I place on paper with readers of all ages. It is the reader who takes a book and finishes it with their vivid imaginations. No two readers can walk away from a tale with the same pictures in their minds.

That is what makes being an author an amazing job. Every day I am so thankful for the opportunity to write and get these ideas out of my mind and onto paper.
