David Littlewood

Author David Littlewood

Biography

David Littlewood is a widely travelled speaker and a free lance writer. Born in England, he studied physics at university, graduating with honours, and taught the subject for eleven years at a tertiary college. During this time he met his wife, Hilda, to whom he has been married for 45 years. They have two children and three grandchildren.

During his mid-thirties, David experienced a career change and studied for the Christian ministry. He served as the pastor of churches in the Midlands and the North of England and his speaking engagements have taken him to many countries in the world, including the African countries of Ethopia, Burundi, Uganda, Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria and Ghana. Her has also travelled and spoken in many states in India, the Philippines, USA and Eastern Europe.

David also holds a masters degree in theology and is particularly interested in history. A prolific writer, he is the editor of a quarterly church history magazine, ‘Heroes of the Faith’ and has written extensively on church history. He has also written articles for many different magazines and newspapers over the last 30 years. He is the author of several books whose subjects include church history, biography, theology and also some children’s novels.

When not writing or being a grandfather, David’s interests include classical music. Although he makes no pretence to be a performer (much to the relief of his friends and relatives), David has a large and musically catholic collection of classical recordings which sometimes threaten to take over his office. He also enjoys movies, theatre and opera. His sporting interests are cricket and rugby union although, he hastens to add, in a spectator capacity only!
