Bryan Ney M.D. writes compelling historical fiction from his home base in Malibu. He is an occasional co-conspirator in his wife's reality TV ventures, and an avid tennis player. Friends have encouraged him to write about his interest in near-death experiences and related topics, but he is afraid of then being roped into starting a new religion.
His debut novel, "Calamity Jane: How the West Began" has been a finalist in four contests:
Western Fictioneers YA/Children's division Seventh Annual Peacemaker Award
Chanticleer International Book Awards, Rosetti YA division 2016
The Wishing Shelf Book Awards 2016
Literary Classics Book Awards 2017
Review for Calamity Jane at the Historical Novel Society
